Our Year in Review

Looking back on 2025

As 2025 draws to a close, we’ve taken a moment to pause, reflect, and look back on what has been another busy and rewarding year at Vires Velo.

From game-changing new bike launches to a significant new location for our business, it’s been a year of growth and evolution.

Read on for a snapshot of what we’ve been up to and a glimpse of what’s to come in 2026.

Before we do, we’d like to sincerely thank you for your continued support. We look forward to sharing the road together in 2026.

A New Location

After two very positive years at our studio in Lane End, we took the decision to relocate our second showroom and bike fitting lab to an exciting new home. In November, we moved to the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, located on the doorstep of the world-famous Silverstone Circuit.

Those familiar with the history of Factor and that of our Managing Director, John Bailey, will understand that the connection between motorsport and engineering is woven into the DNA of our business. Being surrounded by world-class motorsport innovation, alongside advanced cycling R&D facilities, including a wind tunnel and extensive testing infrastructure, makes Silverstone uniquely fitting for Vires Velo.

Our showroom and idmatch bike fitting studio are now open by appointment only, and we look forward to welcoming you to Silverstone soon. In the near future, we’ll be able to offer our clients and riders an experience unlike anything else within the Hub. Watch this space.

New Bike Launches

Factor have been riding full gas in 2025, both on and off the road.

In May, we saw the introduction of the Factor MONZA, a bike born from the success of the OSTRO VAM, but with a feature set and price point that brings WorldTour-proven technology to the everyday racer.

Later in the year came the launch of the ALUTO, a completely new addition to Factor’s growing gravel lineup. Described by Factor as “a pocketknife, with a razor’s edge,” it’s a bike that has quickly made its mark in gravel races and beyond.

Factor’s final launch of the year was also its most significant. The bike first broke cover at the Critérium du Dauphiné, where Jake Stewart piloted the prototype to victory months before it even had a name. Fast forward to December and Factor officially unveiled the ONE, a bike that represents the very pinnacle of their engineering and performance philosophy.

In December, we were proud to host the UK launch of the Factor ONE with David Millar at our new Silverstone showroom and the wind tunnel within the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, a fitting setting for a truly groundbreaking bike.

Our Chosen Charities

We’d like to thank everyone who supported our chosen charities throughout the year.

Earlier in 2025, we auctioned a brand new Factor OSTRO VAM, raising over £10,000 for the PASIC Children’s Charity. In November, we were also proud to support Action Medical Research at their annual Champions of CycleSport Dinner in London, which raised almost £300,000 for the charity.

Your generosity and support of these causes is genuinely appreciated.

Demo Events

We firmly believe that the best way to understand and experience a Factor is to just ride one.

Our programme of demo events continued throughout 2025, introducing hundreds of riders to the exceptional ride quality and performance of the Factor range. Alongside regular showroom-based demos, we took the bikes on the road, hosting successful track sessions at Redbridge Cycling Centre and spending an unforgettable day in the Peak District with our sponsored rider and gravel privateer, Matt Holmes.

As always, it’s a pleasure to meet so many of you at these events, and we look forward to welcoming even more riders in 2026.

Supported Riders

This year, we were delighted to support chef and cyclist Hayden Groves in his quest to ride the full Tour de France route, one week ahead of the pros as part of Tour 21. We sat down with Hayden to discuss the challenge and his experienceYou can watch the video here. Hayden completed the ride aboard the new Factor MONZA.

You may also have spotted some new faces riding Factor this year. Following our move to Silverstone, we’ve attracted top talent from the world of motorsport. As several drivers and motorcycle racers incorporate cycling into their training, a high-performance bicycle has become an essential tool. Shout out to Luke Brown, Eddie O’Shea, Jake Dixon, Max Cook, and Adam Smalley for choosing Factor this year.
