The TWENTY is made for the steepest climbs, so it’s ultralight at 1240g, with a lack of inertia that will feel breath-taking. However, there’s much more to a wheelset for the mountains than lightness alone. Stiffness is critical to efficiently transfer power in high-torque situations – such as a steep ramp when you’re out of the saddle in a low gear – and it’s delivered by the ultra-high strength blend of carbon fibre used in the rims. This directness makes the TWENTY extremely responsive, feeling even lighter than it is, boosting every attack. The standard CeramicSpeed bearings ensure no precious watts are wasted.
Descending confidence is also essential to having a great experience in the mountains. The rim stiffness provides high precision, backed up by disc braking, tubeless-clincher compatibility and a 21mm internal width so you can run 25-28mm tyres at optimum pressures for grip and feel. Whereas not so long ago wheels this light had to be tubulars and saved for race day, the TWENTY is a tubeless-clincher, giving you the practicality to enjoy them all the time.
